How do I prevent the pencil tool to close paths

Hello,

I have this pencil tool. And I want to draw with a free hand. So I draw, and everytime I release the pencil close to the starting point, it closes the path.

But I don't want it to do so !! I just want to have an open path. And even if I go to its options, and change the parameter "Within", it doesn't change anything ! I just want to have a checkbox saying "don't automatically close paths", or by clicking the option key, it doesn't close paths. It was like this in the previous versions, wasn't it ?

How can I do that ?
