Just updated to Speedgrade 2014.1 and I got the "Adobe Speedgrade 2014 has stopped working" message right after the splashscreen.
After I uninstalled and then reinstalled it, it worked fine. So I loaded up my custom settings and did some grading. After trying to start it up again later, it crashed again. Another reinstall solved that, until the next startup after that and so on.
I troubleshot the problem and determined that Speedgrade would now crash on startup whenever I would have the dual display output enabled. If the dual display output is disabled, it starts up normal without crashing. Since this is a standard setup without which I cannot grade, this is a major bummer.
This was not an issue with the original 2014 release.
My system:
Windows 8.1
Intel i5 2500k
ATi R9 280X @Catalyst 14.9 WHQL
16GB RAM
I have my second monitor hooked up via HDMI.
Thoughts?
BTW, I generally love the update, especially all the new great features in SG and the improved, more robust DirectLink workflow.
