Sorry, just came back to this post and realized I never hit "Add Reply" to show my post... I had a question about how exactly I change it to a regular dynamic textfield, but I believe I figured that part out...
So I changed the TextField to Classic Text, then after I changed it to Classic I got a new drop-down box which had; Static, Dynamic and Input Text Options. So I chose Dynamic Text and re-ran my program, and I think that did it!! Thanks for the advice, much appreciated! Now all the text remains on a single line...
One other thing related to this same TextField... I am using htmlText as my input method for dynamically changing the text in the TextField. And for some reason the "<b>...</b>" Bold Tags, don't seem to be working. I read on some other posts that it might be due to the selected font. But I didn't specify a font in the HTML code and when I created the TextField on the stage, I left it set as the default "Arial Black" font, which I would assume has the ability to display as bold... Any thoughts about why that isn't working...? I'm going to try adding the font option within the HTML code and I'll tryout a few different fonts to see if maybe that's it.
